A small decorative detail can give a room personality without changing all of its furnishings. For a cat lover with a cheeky sense of humour, a cat-themed switch cover offers a different idea from the usual mug or keychain.

The Cat's Butt Wall Switch from Yourcatgoodies is listed as a decorative switch-button cover, not a replacement electrical switch. Before choosing it, check compatibility and how it is intended to be assembled.

What is included?

The listing describes one set of decorative switch-button cover components that require assembly. It gives PLA as the material and approximate dimensions of 162 x 119 mm, or 6.38 x 4.69 inches.

Those measurements describe the decorative item, not a universal fit for every switch plate. Review the selected version and supplied instructions before ordering.

Check the switch type first

The stated compatibility is with a 2-gang 86-type wall switch. Do not assume this means it fits every double switch, every country’s switch format or any plate with similar dimensions.

Confirm the switch model, button spacing and the clearance required by the decoration. If compatibility is unclear, ask for the exact fitting requirements before purchasing rather than improvising an attachment.

Decorative cover, not electrical equipment

This accessory does not establish an electrical replacement function. Do not alter wiring, open an electrical fitting or cover exposed electrical components to install a decorative item.

Follow the supplied instructions and keep the switch controls accessible. Do not allow the decoration to jam a button, interfere with normal operation or obstruct access needed for maintenance. If installation would require electrical work, use a qualified professional.

Assembly and surface care

The listing states that assembly is required. Confirm whether any adhesive or tools are supplied and whether the intended attachment is suitable for your switch and wall finish.

Do not assume removal will leave no marks. Follow adhesive instructions and surface-compatibility guidance, and keep uncured adhesives and loose components away from pets and children. Avoid applying liquid near electrical equipment.

Is it a suitable gift?

Consider this design for someone who enjoys playful cat-themed decor and knows where they would use it. It is a more compatibility-dependent gift than a keychain, so checking their switch type first is important.

If you cannot confirm the fitting, compare an accessory that does not require installation, such as the Funny Cat Keychain. Its listing describes a resin design with a metal clasp for keys or a bag.

Keep it out of pet play

The switch decoration is an accessory for people, not a cat toy. Inspect it for loosening parts and remove it if components become accessible to a pet that chews or bats at them.

Clean it only as instructed and without introducing moisture into the switch. Material, dimensions and a decorative purpose do not establish suitability for damp locations or use beside heat sources.
